Prepare for Enrollment

A great deal goes into preparing for your arrival at Northland Community & Technical College. Please use the steps below to help guide you through our enrollment process.

Step #1: Apply to Northland Community & Technical College

Students can apply using our online application. After applying, submit your High School Transcripts/GED. Do you have Transfer Credits? If they are from another Minnesota State College or University, complete an eTranscript Request Form to request an evaluation. If you have other credits, please submit official transcripts for evaluation. Residents of North Dakota need to fill out a reciprocity form. Finally, complete and return an immunization form to Northland. (See Minnesota’s College Immunization Law.)

Step #2: Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Apply early to ensure financial aid is complete prior to the beginning of the semester.

Northland’s FAFSA code is 002385

After completing the FAFSA, apply for Northland scholarships. If you are eligible for Veteran benefits, contact the Veteran Resource Center.

Step #3: Inquire About Assessments

Contact Northland admissions to inquire if an assessment is required.

Step #4: Register for Courses With Your Assigned Advisor

Students are to meet with their assigned academic advisor, who will help guide them into the right courses to meet their educational and career goals and connect with the many campus resource
