Course Description:

(Fulfills MNTC Areas: 3, 10) This is an introductory level course that introduces the concepts of macroevolution, the 6 kingdoms system of classification, comparative study of representatives of the 6 kingdoms with special emphasis on plants and animals, the concept of biomes, and the role of human activities and their affects on the ecological balance of the biosphere. This course includes 3 lecture hours and 2 lab hours per week.
