Complete these program requirements to earn a Nursing Assistant Certificate at Northland. 

Program Requirements

  1. The Minnesota Department of Human Services Licensing Division Background Study must be completed in week 1 of the course. Evidence of approval to provide healthcare must be on file prior to participation in the clinical portion of the course. The student will be required to pay for the cost of the background study.
  2. Immunization and health screening data must be submitted to the allocated area in D2L as indicated by the instructor prior to participation in the clinical portion of the course.
  3. All students must have the required nursing assistant uniform/scrubs for clinicals. More information will be provided on the first day of class.
  4. The course must be completed with a grade of C (80%) or better.
