Project Request

The project request form gathers important details about your project so that we can determine whether we are able to take on the request as well as deliver a strong product.

Project Request Form

The Department of Marketing & Communications provides strategic services in order to advance the College’s branding, recruitment, and retention objectives.

Lead Time

In order to review and consider your project, please submit a project request a minimum of two (2) business weeks prior to the desired completion date. This timing does not include printing and mailing. Allow for at least 10 business days if printing and mailing is required. Production schedule does not start until all content is received (unless Marketing & Communications will be creating/co-creating the content). If you are within a two (2) week window, you will need to contact Marketing & Communications prior to submitting your work order.

Disclaimer

Before requesting a project, please read project review guidelines below.

Project Review Guidelines

All projects are subject to review and will be considered based on the context of college priorities, timing, and capacity, including the following factors:

  • Is the project mission critical?
  • Does the project support a Northland strategic priority?
  • Does the project generate revenue?
  • What is the visibility, reach and longevity of the project?
  • Timeliness: Advanced notice allows for better planning, product and marketing. Projects with larger scope require more advanced notice. Projects with less than a 1-week notice risk automatic denial.

The right to accept, alter or deny requests is based on scope of project, strategic impact and staff resources; also, depending on scope, budget, or Northland policies, some projects may need advance approval from Administration or the appropriate college authority. Completing this form does not guarantee your project will be accepted. If a project is denied, you will be provided with a list of pre-approved vendors who may assist with your project or DIY branded template files. (NOTE: Third party vendors will also require sufficient lead time.)

Timelines will be determined based on scope of project. The designated point of contact is expected to provide prompt and timely feedback. Failure to do so may result in project delays or cancellation.

NOTE: Projects are not accepted for student organizations or non-Northland entities.

Purchasing Products Using Northland Trademarks

Any products bearing Northland (academic or athletic) trademarks, images, indica or other references to Northland or Pioneers must be purchased from a licensed vendor.
